We reached a major milestone last month with the sale of our first affordable home in Olympia. This is big news for our supporters and volunteers who have been working to create permanently affordable homes in our community. And it’s good news in other ways, too:
A local family will be able to take root in and be part of their community
A family will build equity instead of paying rent
A rental will be available for someone else in our tight rental market
We have new projects in the works, and are excited that more public agencies are seeing the community land trust model as an important part of the solution to our housing crisis. Together, we can help build strong, healthy communities.
